Following a lengthy soft start (including extended development, pause and re-editing), the classic tactical shooting game of Rainbow VI, under the banner of the Brethren, finally came online globally on 23 February 2026. Half a month later, Rainbow Six was close to $1.6 million in player consumption on Google Play and App Store.

According to AppMagic, the distribution revenue is mainly contributed by United States players who spend $730,000 on games in 14 days, representing 46 per cent of total global post-issue consumption, indicating that the United States market share is increasing with access to games. Although the United States was excluded from the soft start that began in 2023, it has climbed to the highest consumer market, contributing 28 per cent to the lifetime player consumption of Rainbow VI. Total global income, including soft start, was close to $2.8 million. Following the global launch of Rainbow VI, consumption rose by 1,081 per cent on the last day of the soft start, reaching $55,000 per day. The sale continued to grow for five consecutive days, reaching its current peak of $147,000 between two major mobile shops on 28 February 2026. Consumption began to decline for the following five days, but rose again on 6 March.

The renewal of the game at the beginning of the month raised the player ‘ s reputation ceiling, rewarded more game time and speeded up the unlocking of new players, while easing the restrictions on games between different levels of friends. In addition, there are errors, texture problems and additional performance upgrades. The upturn in consumption coincided with the 6 March Rainbow VI creators ‘ fight, during which hours of fighting were broadcast live on YouTube. Despite a further decline in player consumption at the end of the second week of Rainbow VI, it is worth noting that the game has a dedicated network store offering exclusive concessions to motivate players to stay away from their in-house purchases. This also means that total income to date may be higher than the data reflected by the two major application stores.
